About the Artist

Arizona Oil Painter

Capturing the Beauty of Life with Oil Painting

Thank you for taking a moment to explore my art.

Inspired by Matisse’s belief that “creativity takes courage,” I embraced painting after raising my three children and building a career in education finally following a lifelong desire to draw, paint, and use my artistic voice. In my art I seek to capture the extraordinary beauty I find in nature, people, and everyday things, with the aim of creating timeless pieces that bring joy and connection.

I have studied painting at Scottsdale Artist School, local colleges, and Mesa Arts Center, including instruction from renowned artists Derek Penix, Margaret Dyer, Sarah Sedwick, Calvin Liang, Amery Bohling, Jerry Salinas, and Robert Lemler.

I am a member of Scottsdale Artist School Circle of Friends, Gilbert Visual Arts League, and Ocotillo Artists Group. Awarded "Best of Show" at the GVAL Juried Art Show 2025, "Honorable Mention" at the Scottsdale Artist School Circle of Friends Show in 2024, "Honorable Mention" in Oils at the GVAL Juried Art Show 2024, and selected to the Artists in Arizona Online Juried Show 2024.
